In May 2019 I got rid of most of my stuff and headed out on a 3 month journey driving across America, coast to coast. I brought a portable recorder to capture interesting sounds/environments. Most of the field recordings you hear on this record come from that period, though as the album grew it became much more than just a diary of my trip. I moved four times in three years and through out all of that I kept working. During this process I grew a lot as a person and as a sound designer. At one point I had to take a year off from it so I could get some much needed distance and clarity. All that work and time was worth it though. This is a special album for me, the kind I will never be able to make again because of how I’ve changed and how making it has changed me. I hope you enjoy it!
